This course provides an opportunity to delve deeply into an area of study or to pursue an area of student interest, under faculty supervision. The list of readings is agreed upon before registration in the course. Credit is obtained by the successful completion of the reading programme, full participation in discussions of the readings under the supervision of the professor, and the successful completion of two drafts of a research paper, the first draft subject to the critical comments and direction of the faculty member.
