When do your courses start? Do you offer classes with start-times throughout the year?
We offer a number of different programs throughout the year. We have part-time and full-time classes, conversation classes, a book club class for more advanced students, and other speciality courses through the year. We offer one-on-one tutorials and sometimes group tutorials. We have a free Canadian Citizenship Language Evaluation (CLIC) program for newcomers to learn French. We’ve also recently added micro-credentialled courses for interpreters.
Do you offer virtual classes?
All of our classes are now offered online.
What equipment will I need for an online class?
We use Microsoft Teams for all our online classes, so in addition to your computer, all you’ll need is a good headset and a microphone.
What if I have technical difficulties with the virtual class environment?
We ask our students to do a simple connection test after registering for a course. If you have problems, one of our technical wizards will call you. And for the first class, we have someone present to help anyone if needed. If you still have problems, someone will call you individually to try to resolve the issue.
Are your courses open to anyone? Are there prerequisites?
Please check the course you would like to take to determine what is needed. For all French as a Second Language classes, you must first complete a French Language aptitude assessment.
Do I have to take a test before enrolling in a course?
Yes, for all French as a Second Language courses, passing a French aptitude assessment is required in order to enrol. For the Canadian Citizenship Language Evaluation (CLIC) and micro-accreditation courses, please check the requirements.
How much do your courses cost?
Will I earn a French certificate?
Yes, we have certificates for all completed French as a Second Language courses. Please note that good attendance is a mandatory requirement for completion.
Do you offer accreditation as well?
Yes, we’ve recently added a micro-credentialled course to our course list, and plan to add more in the future. Please keep checking this site. Or if you’d like to partner with us to create an accreditation, please contact us.
Can I take part-time classes or even full-time classes?
Yes, we offer both part-time and full-time course options. We also offer tutorials.
When is the deadline to register? How do I register? Can I pay online?
Registration deadlines vary by course type. For most courses that we offer, you can now register and pay online.
Who should I contact for more information?
How will I know if I have been accepted?
Upon registration, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.
What happens if a class is cancelled?
