As of March 2022, all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted FR (Available in French Only) from our campuses.

Church Point (NS), January 22, 2021 – Since March 2020, Pierre-Alexandre Bigras has not had it easy. As the Sociocultural and Recreation Director of Université Sainte-Anne's Church Point campus, Pierre-Alexandre organizes activities, events, and training to encourage students to become involved and to make their postsecondary studies a full life experience. Before March 2020, the campus hosted a beehive of activity that was much appreciated by the student population and community members alike.

As we all know, the pandemic has forced us to change our ways of doing things and to impose restrictions on nearly all of Université Sainte-Anne's operations. Student life is no exception. While this situation certainly presents major challenges, it also offers interesting opportunities that might not otherwise have presented themselves, absent the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of these extraordinary opportunities involves Chad Comeau, the creator of the Clarevoyance video game. Pierre-Alexandre decided to contact him to see if it would be possible to introduce his game to our student population, and the project quickly became a reality! Having purchased several licenses, Université Sainte-Anne now offers a free download of the game to our students.

Clarevoyance is an adventure game that takes place in the mythical Acadian region of Clare (Nova Scotia), created in direct collaboration with members of this community. The game's premise is that the region's legendary myths have suddenly come to life in present-day Clare. Players explore the region and interact with over 100 characters speaking in local dialect while experiencing the region's rich and hyper-local folklore. This adventure contains about five hours of content and introduces players to what makes Clare such a fascinating place.

Clarevoyance gives students the opportunity to explore the community's history, dialect, and characters, while respecting public health directives. We hope that life will soon return to normal and that we can resume our typical activities and revive in-person relationships between our university community, community organizations and community members.
