Church Point (NS), January 30, 2026 — Université Sainte-Anne is proud to announce that Professor Rym Ben Sallem, from the Department of Sciences, has been awarded a Discovery Grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to pursue a fundamental research program on the microbial mechanisms of alternatives to the use of antibiotics in aquaculture. This innovative program aims to reduce antimicrobial resistance through the use of probiotics and bacteriocins.

Church Point (NS), December 10, 2024 – Professor Jordan Park has been awarded a 5-year Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Discovery Grant to study the impact of climate change and environmental pollutants on aquatic organisms. This fundamental research project will provide a basis for better understanding the effects of evolving environmental conditions on marine life, including commercially important species like the American lobster.

Church Point (NS), November 13, 2024- The Louis-R.-Comeau Library of Université Sainte-Anne is delighted to invite you to Refuge Canada Tent, a bilingual exhibit created by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, with the help of the Birks Family Foundation. It will be presented at the library from November 14th to December 13th. Entry is free during open hours of the library.

Samson, chair of the Board of Governors of Université Sainte-Anne, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kenneth Deveau to the position of President and Vice-Chancellor of Université Sainte-Anne for a five-year term beginning July 1st, 2024.
