Church Point, NS, April 2, 2024 – Université Sainte-Anne is proud to announce that it will award Andrée Savoie an Honorary Doctorate in Entrepreneurship at the university convocation on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Andrée Savoie is an engineer and businesswoman with over 25 years' experience in construction and commercial real estate. She is President and Managing Director of Adelin Properties, a leading-edge company specializing in property management, leasing and commercial and industrial development. Savoie is a strategist with a passion for helping people and entrepreneurs succeed.

The Adelin Properties portfolio includes commercial and industrial properties in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Until 2015, she was President and Managing Director of Acadian Construction Limited.  

Savoie has also served on a number of public and private boards, including the National Bank of Canada and Assumption Life, where she served as board chair. Several other boards have benefited from her governance expertise, including Opportunities NB, the YMCA and YMCA Foundation of Greater Moncton, Efficiency New Brunswick and UNB's Wallace McCain Institute.

Currently, she is a member of the Board of Trustees of Killam Apartment REIT and chair of the Board of Directors of Athletics New Brunswick. In addition, she was assistant coach and manager of the cross-country and track and field team at École Mathieu-Martin in Dieppe, NB, until 2023.

She is known not only for her leadership in business, but also for her leadership in the community. Savoie is an ally and co-founder of an annual fundraising event for the Crossroads for Women Moncton, which helps victims of violence and their families. She has also participated in major fundraising events for the Université de Moncton, the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute and the Aberdeen Cultural Centre. 

She holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from McGill University and a master's degree in applied science (specializing in environmental engineering) from the University of Ottawa. She also holds the Institute of Corporate Directors, Director (ICD.D) designation.

Her career and achievements are a true source of inspiration for the business community and the next generation of entrepreneurs who aspire to follow in her footsteps.

For her entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and positive impact on the Acadian community, Université Sainte-Anne is proud to award Andrée Savoie an Honorary Doctorate of Entrepreneurship.

The entire community and the media are invited to attend this ceremony in honour of our students and Andrée Savoie, which will take place on Saturday, May 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Marcel-R.-Comeau Sports Centre. For those unable to attend, the event will also be livestreamed.
