Genealogy

The Centre acadien no longer processes genealogical requests. However, its database is available online free of charge (see "Accessing the Database").

About the Genealogy Database

Since 2024, the Centre acadien's genealogical database is accessible online and free of charge on WEBTREES. To access it, simply create a user account (see "Accessing the Database")

The database contains 66 family trees, grouped by Acadian family names of Baie Sainte-Marie and southwest Nova Scotia.

We invite users to inform us of any errors found in the database.

In accordance with Canada's Privacy Act, some data remains confidential until public: births or baptisms up to 100 years of age, marriages up to 75 years of age and deaths up to 50 years of age.
