Church Point (NS), June 10, 2026- Université Sainte-Anne is proud to announce the creation of the Donald J. Savoie Institute Scholarship, a new undergraduate scholarship designed to recognize students who combine academic excellence with community involvement and who are enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor of Business Administration or Humanities program.
This scholarship is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Donald J. Savoie Institute, which is supporting its establishment with a $100,000 donation. This contribution demonstrates the Institute’s commitment to the next generation of people who may pursue higher education and be interested in public policy and regional development issues in Atlantic Canada.
“This scholarship embodies the vision and values of Professor Donald J. Savoie. It reflects his sincere desire to strengthen the ties between the Institute he founded and Université Sainte-Anne, while also paying tribute to his exceptional contributions that have left a lasting mark on our academic life and our community.”
- Jacques Paul Couturier, President, Donald J. Savoie Institute
“We are deeply grateful to the Donald J. Savoie Institute for this significant contribution. This scholarship perfectly reflects our commitment to our student body: recognizing excellence and encouraging students who will have a lasting impact on their community.”
- Kenneth Deveau, President, Université Sainte-Anne
Through this initiative, Université Sainte-Anne pursues its mission of recognizing excellence and supporting students destined to play an active and structuring role in their community.
