As of March 2022, all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted FR (Available in French Only) from our campuses.

Church Point (NS), August 31, 2021- As we learn to live with COVID-19 and adapt to the new variants that are circulating, Université Sainte-Anne wants to do what we can to ensure that the health and safety of the university community remains a priority.

That means new vaccine and testing requirements will be in effect starting October 15.

The University is in the process of implementing the following requirements:

  • Students and staff will be asked to show proof of vaccination before accessing any of our five campuses.
  • Students and staff who have not received two doses of the vaccine or who choose not to show proof of vaccination will be required to undergo a rapid test twice per week and present the test result.

Rapid testing will be offered at the Church Point and Halifax campuses for those who are asymptomatic and will be encouraged for all individuals, even those who have received two doses of the vaccine. In addition, it is necessary to make an appointment for regular testing for COVID-19 if:

  • Public Health determines you are a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case and need to be tested
  • you have COVID-19 symptoms
  • you were at a potential exposure site and Public Health has advised you to be tested immediately.

More information about rapid testing locations and how to schedule an appointment for a vaccine will be released soon.

We would like to remind the university community that the COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines (French only) page on our website includes all important information about the status of the situation on our campuses. Wearing a mask, practicing physical distancing, and frequent hand washing and sanitizing are requirements that remain in effect across our campuses.

We anticipate that you will have many questions regarding these new measures, and we will do our best to answer them in the coming days.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we work out these details and thank all students and staff for continuing to do their part to keep our community safe.
