As of March 2022, all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted FR (Available in French Only) from our campuses.

Church Point (NS), April 22, 2021 – Université Sainte-Anne invites the student population to plan for a return to our campuses in fall 2021. In fact, preparations are underway to welcome it in greater numbers. Despite this optimism with respect to the fall, we must maintain a flexible posture in the face of pandemic-related uncertainty. As such, course offerings will be planned based on a hybrid model, whereby courses can be taken in person or remotely.

In fall 2020 and winter 2021, students had the option to take their courses in person or remotely. Through this hybrid model and our COVID-19 prevention guidelines, we were able to maintain a safe work and study environment. Working closely with public health officials, we have adjusted restrictions, instructions, and protocols along the way, and we will continue to do so for as long as necessary.

“Given the progress that is being made in vaccine distribution and given that we will continue to work closely with public health officials, we are confident that we can make the transition back to in-person learning on our campuses. The Sainte-Anne experience is unique, and we are adept at developing custom solutions. The start of classes in September 2021 will be no exception.”

- Allister Surette, Université Sainte-Anne President and Vice-Chancellor

It appears likely that on-campus attendance may be required for some activities in the fall of 2021, including lab sessions. This was the case for the Practical Nurse (LPN) program in fall 2020 and winter 2021.

Church Point campus residences will remain open and residence applications continue to be processed normally. We will focus on changes to certain restrictions on activities related to the student experience and residence life.

In addition, there will be discussions regarding athletic teams to explore a potential return to varsity sports.

We invite prospective students to consult the information on the start of classes in September (on our website) to become familiar with the steps involved in welcoming you to the campus. Regular updates will be posted here. Please contact us if you any questions. You may either chat with Josée via our website or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
